Cloud Technology Partners Wins Best Integrated Marketing Campaign at AWS re:Invent 2016

Creative booth displaying 540 pounds of M&M’s wins best in show.


BOSTON – December 14, 2016 – Cloud Technology Partners (CTP), the premier cloud services and software company for enterprises moving to cloud, today announced that it won the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign at the annual Amazon Web Services (AWS) re:Invent conference in Las Vegas.

This year, re:Invent was bigger than ever. AWS hosted over 35,000 attendees spanning three Las Vegas resorts. “As one of 380 sponsors in the solutions expo, standing out from the pack is a tall order,” said Rob Lancaster, Vice President of Global Alliances at Cloud Technology Partners. “We are thrilled to receive this validation of our sponsorship and marketing approach from AWS.”

In the past, CTP has creatively deviated from standard booth concepts, generating press coverage and standing out from other sponsors. In 2014, CTP hired a Sigmund Freud actor and staged a booth as a psychiatrist’s office to help clients diagnose their most pressing cloud ailments. In 2015, CTP installed a green screen and professional printer, photoshopping attendees’ faces onto the covers of prominent magazines.

“This year we wanted to visually highlight the breadth of our cloud services in a way that people could easily understand,” said Brad Young, Director of Marketing at Cloud Technology Partners. “Whether you’re just starting out with cloud or already migrating production workloads to AWS, we help clients accelerate their cloud transformation, no matter where they are in their journey. It turns out that thousands of multi-colored M&M’s was the perfect visualization of this journey – and all the components necessary to make it successful.”

Designed in house, the CTP booth displayed 18 brightly colored tubes of M&M’s, each aligned with a different component of CTP’s Cloud Adoption Program. Attendees moved down the display, picking the services they needed and filled up bags with M&M’s along the way. Over the course of the event CTP distributed a total of 540 pounds of M&M’s to clients, partners, AWS employees and more.

The dates for re:Invent 2017 are set for November 28th – December 1st. CTP will be there in force to once again give the industry something to remember.
